Patrol monitoring software

Skillweb reports that it has extended its patrol monitoring and employee management software SmartTask to enable security businesses to meet the requirements of the SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) and the management standard ISO9001, featured last issue. The company teamed up with management systems and security consultants Pengelly Young to develop a dedicated ‘Smart Docs’ module to help manage compliance and provide visibility of latest operating procedures.

Paul Ridden, Managing Director of Skillweb, says: “Traditionally contract and workforce management systems have had limited ability to support compliance and monitor procedures, leaving organisations exposed to compliance risks and worse still liabilities such as corporate manslaughter and consequential loss. With this in mind, we have worked closely with Pengelly Young to create Smart Docs and ensure our software is fully ACS and ISO9001 compliant.”

Smart Docs has been designed so that employees can see the latest versions of company-or site-specific procedures with details stored centrally and accessible via a SmartTask-enabled smartphone. It will also provide an electronic audit trail of who has read which documents so that only employees who are conversant with appropriate procedures can work at certain sites.
