Intersec Dubai 2009

by msecadm4921

The British Security Industry Association (BSIA) is once more facilitating a visit by more than 60 UK companies to Intersec Dubai 2009.

This exhibition is described as an excellent showcase for UK companies to highlight their capabilities and enthusiasm to explore markets in both Dubai and the wider Middle East region and to identify future opportunities for joint venture partnerships.

The BSIA will attend the show as part of the UK pavilion, hosting its own information point and also facilitating the attendance of some of the UK’s leading security exporters. The BSIA is the trade association covering all aspects of the professional security industry in the UK, and its members provide over 70 per cent of UK security products and services and adhere to strict quality standards. The Head of the Security Directorate in UKTI DSO (United Kingdom Trade and Investment, Defence and Security Organisation), will also be visiting the exhibition to support UK companies attending and engage with local and regional government security officials.

BSIA Export Council Chairman, Paul Ramsay, says: "Intersec brings together key players in the global security industry and addresses issues in which British companies play a fundamental role by providing innovative, quality and cost-effective security solutions. This prestigious event provides us with the opportunity to share these solutions with the international marketplace."

Simon Everest, Head of UKTI DSO’s Security Directorate says: ” I am delighted at the significant UK presence at Intersec 2009 which reflects their commitment to this exhibition and the region. They have significant capabilities and I am confident that they can respond positively to any forthcoming requirements in the security sector. We are very keen to see continued success in this sector and to encourage more industrial partnerships in this important region.”
