The Security TWENTY 14 event bandwagon next heads for Bristol after the conference, exhibition and networking dinner at Nottingham on February 4 and 5. For a gallery of photos from the exhibition floor, visit the gallery part of the website.
The latest event at the East Midlands conference centre on the campus of the University of Nottingham began with the by now traditional three-course meal on the Tuesday evening at the venue. A raffle, and ‘heads and tails’ game compered as ever by magazine MD Roy Cooper and won by Martin Hodgson of IT installer C-Ways, raised £1700 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, accepted on the night by the charity’s Nottinghamshire treasurer, Roger Spells.
The Wednesday conference was chaired by Mike Tennent of Tavcom Training, and sponsored by the distributor Videcon. It featured speakers from local government CCTV, police, the industry certification bodies SSAIB and NSI, consultant Jon Laws, Centro safer travel partnership manager Mark Babington, and product manufacturers. Attenders were able to view products and services offered by exhibitors at the morning tea and lunch breaks.
