Twickenham fence

by Mark Rowe

England is hosting the eighth Rugby World Cup from September 18 to October 31. Twickenham Stadium – the west London home of English rugby and the venue for the opening match and the final – has had Jacksons Fencing work on the security around its corporate village and boundary.

Twickenham has, pictured, a 2m high Securi Mesh perimeter fence and matching gates for parts of the boundary and for the corporate village within the grounds during the World Cup. The Securi-Mesh ‘358’ welded mesh features vandal and tamper proof post fixings and offers good resistance to cutting plus anti-climb properties, according to the Kent-based fencing firm.

Jacksons CEO Peter Jackson says: “We are delighted to have been involved in such a high profile project and to have played a part in supporting the RFU’s security strategy for the iconic Twickenham Stadium, the largest venue in the world devoted to the sport of rugby union.”
