Paris lessons briefing

by Mark Rowe

Senior police officers, with a guest speaker from Paris, are to give a breakfast briefing to the security and resilience network of the business body London First, on Wednesday, December 2. Visit http://londonfirst.co.uk/networks/security-and-resilience-network/events/.

As organisers point out, the November 13 terrorist attacks in Paris have marked a change in the attack profile of IS in Europe, by targeting sites such as restaurants and theatres, with the aim of causing mass casualties. How should London respond, to mitigate and prevent such attacks?

Speakers:

Senior Officer, Met Specialist Operations Command; Supt David Roney, Office of the National Co-ordinator PROTECT & PREPARE, National Counter Terrorism Policing HQ; and Dr Nicolas Le Saux CPP, Chairman (Designate) of the ASIS European Advisory Council.
