Fire & Security Engineer | Up to £38,000 | Oxfordshire

Travel & Hours

  • Standard travel time compensated (30 minutes each way)

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine servicing and maintenance on fire alarms and security systems. 
  • Perform remedial works, fault-finding and repairs across multiple platforms. 
  • Respond to reactive callouts within the 1-in-5 rota. 
  • Complete detailed, accurate job sheets and compliance documentation. 
  • Communicate effectively with clients to ensure excellent service delivery. 
  • Work with the service desk to schedule work efficiently across the region. 
  • Ensure all work meets relevant British Standards (e.g., BS5839, EN50131). 
  • Support installation teams when required. 
  • Maintain company equipment, tools and stock. 

Key Requirements / Skills
Essential

  • Previous experience in fire & security servicing and maintenance. 
  • Strong fault-finding skills across fire alarm and security systems. 
  • Comfortable working independently across a large geographic area. 
  • Full UK driving licence. 
  • Good communication and customer-facing skills. 

Desirable

  • FIA qualifications or relevant manufacturer training. 
  • Experience with CCTV, access control or multi-site commercial environments.
