Bid Estimator – Security Systems Integration
Location: London (Central London office near Bank) Hybrid 1-2 days a week
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 basic salary plus travel, private healthcare and 25 days holiday

Our client is a leading security systems integrator delivering large-scale solutions for critical infrastructure and high-profile organisations. They’re seeking an experienced Bid Estimator to join their London office. If you have a strong background in estimating within security integration and want to progress your career working on technically advanced projects, this is an excellent opportunity to grow with a modern, ambitious organisation.
Position Overview
As Bid Estimator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the full bid lifecycle for enterprise-level security integration projects. You’ll prepare detailed cost estimates, collaborate with design and technical teams to define project scope, and build comprehensive pricing models. Your work directly influences how the organisation competes for high-value contracts across data centres, police estates, healthcare and higher education sectors. This role offers the chance to develop commercial expertise whilst working with cutting-edge security technologies.
Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for electronic security integration projects from initial specification to final proposal

Review tender documentation and technical specifications to accurately define project scope and requirements

Collaborate with design and technical teams to identify all project components and associated costs

Engage with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and build accurate pricing models

Support proposal documentation ensuring bids align with both technical and commercial strategies

Manage multiple bid deadlines whilst communicating effectively across internal teams

Contribute to continuous improvement of estimation processes and pricing accuracy
Requirements

Proven experience in estimating or bid support within security integration or related technical sectors

Strong understanding of enterprise-level CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Detection systems

Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate these into accurate cost models

Commercial awareness and understanding of project profitability and margin management

Excellent attention to detail with strong numerical accuracy

Capability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively

Strong communication skills with ability to work collaboratively across teams

Proficiency with standard office software and estimating tools
