Role: CCTV Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 per annum

Technical Resources are currently recruiting for an experienced CCTV PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) Engineer to join a growing and respected fire & security business. You will be responsible for carrying out scheduled service and maintenance visits across a variety of CCTV systems in commercial, industrial, and public sector environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine PPM inspections and servicing across a wide range of CCTV systems

  • Inspect and verify camera functionality, image clarity, NVR/DVR operation, and system connectivity

  • Physically check brackets, housings, cabling, and power supplies for signs of wear or damage

  • Clean lenses, camera housings, and enclosures to maintain image performance

  • Accurately report faults, performance issues, or potential failures before they become critical

  • Complete detailed service reports using company systems or client portals

  • Deliver basic user training when required

  • Ensure all work complies with relevant industry standards (e.g. BS EN 62676, NSI)

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Proven experience in CCTV servicing and planned maintenance

  • Good working knowledge of analogue, IP, and hybrid CCTV systems

  • Confident in fault diagnosis and system health checks

  • Basic understanding of networking for IP systems – beneficial

  • Ability to manage service schedules and meet deadlines

  • Strong communication and client interaction skills
