Job Title: Data Cabling Engineer
Location: York
Rate: £165 p/day
Technical Resources is looking for a highly skilled Data Cabling Engineer in York, proficient in the installation, termination, and testing of Cat5, Cat6a, and fibre cables. This role involves detailed work, including terminating into patch panels and RJ45s in a secured environment.
Description of Contract/Programme of Works:
- Installation and termination of Cat5 and Cat6a cables, and fibre optic cables.
- Testing of all installed cabling to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Terminating cables into patch panels and RJ45 connectors efficiently and accurately.
Experience Required:
- Proven experience in data cabling with a strong focus on Cat5, Cat6a, and fibre installations.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a high-security environment.
Required Documentation/Certifications/Tooling:
- BPSS, CTC, or SC clearance is required. Candidates can start while going through the clearance process, but must be willing to pay for their application.
- An ECS/CSCS card is essential to demonstrate compliance with industry safety standards.
- Contractors must provide their own standard data cabling tools.
- Required personal protective equipment includes a 4-point chin strap on hard hat, high visibility jacket, and trousers.
