Job Title: Small Works Engineer
Location: Midlands
Rate: £30,000 – £37,500 p/a
As a Small Works Engineer specialising in access control and door entry installations, you will be responsible for the installation and repair of access control and door entry systems. You will work closely with the clients to understand their needs and provide them with the best solutions to meet their security requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Install and repair access control and door entry systems.
- Work closely with clients to understand their security needs and provide them with the best solutions.
- Test and troubleshoot systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Provide training to clients on how to use the systems effectively.
- Pay attention to detail in the installation process to ensure systems are installed correctly and meet client expectations.
- Liaise with residents and the administration team to coordinate installations and repairs.
- Document work activity on software provided by the company.
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Proven experience in installing and repairing access control and door entry systems.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of security systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
- Electrician qualification is preferred.
- Experience with Entrotec, KMS systems is a plus.
- Industry certifications such as CSCS, ECS, or similar is preferred.
- Experience working with a variety of access control and door entry systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards is preferred.
