Sprinkler Design / Project Engineer | Up to £52,000 | Remote | Full-time
Our clients are looking for a Sprinkler Design / Project Engineer to join our Repairs Division. This role is ideally suited to someone with experience in small works, such as shop fit-outs, minor refurbishments, and sprinkler system alterations.
If you are a Design Engineer confident using AutoCAD 2D and hydraulic calculation software, and ready to take the next step toward Project Management, this could be the perfect opportunity.
The Role
As a Sprinkler Design / Project Engineer within our Repairs Division, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of smaller-scale sprinkler projects, including:
- Managing minor installations, alterations, and remedial works
- Producing and reviewing technical drawings and specifications
- Coordinating suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Attending site visits, client meetings, and project handovers
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Preparing risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH documentation
- Supporting junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement
What You’ll Bring
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in fire sprinkler systems
- Knowledge of BS EN 12845, BS 9251, NFPA, or FM Global standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and hydraulic calculation software (e.g. FHC)
- Revit experience is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication, organisational, and time-management skills
- A proactive, customer-focused mindset
- Ability to manage multiple small projects concurrently
