Role: Fire Estimator
Location: London
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 + Bonus

Are you a Fire Estimator with a passion for precision and a background in fire systems? We’re recruiting for a Fire Estimator to join an established NSI-Gold accredited Fire and Security company with over 25 years of industry experience. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing team delivering bespoke fire safety solutions across multiple sectors.

Responsibilities:

● Prepare accurate quotations and competitive estimates for fire alarm, sprinkler, and extinguisher systems
● Liaise directly with clients to assess project specifications, requirements, and budget
● Maintain estimating tools, spreadsheets, and cost breakdowns
● Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
● Develop clear, professional proposals and submissions for tenders
● Ensure project budgets and resources align with your estimates
● Support project delivery teams with costing insights and updates
● Comply with relevant fire safety regulations and standards (BS 5839, BS 5306, LPCB)
● Help resolve estimating and pricing queries throughout project lifecycles

Experience and Certifications Required:

● A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the fire safety industry
● Strong understanding of fire alarm, suppression, and extinguisher systems
● Proven ability to produce accurate, well-documented estimates and tenders
● Familiarity with British Standards relating to fire systems (BS 5839, BS 5306)
● Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
● Strong commercial awareness and supplier negotiation experience
