Location: Manchester Duration: 6 months, with possible extension
Rate: £350–£375 per day

Overview

SES is seeking an experienced Fire Project Manager to oversee fire systems and related works across a medium-sized project involving three buildings. The scheme includes a hotel, and commercial facilities.

This role suits a contractor with solid M&E project management background and hands-on experience in fire systems, graphics, and disabled refuge installations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all fire system installation activities across the project sites.
  • Oversee subcontractors to ensure work quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Liaise with the client (SES), design teams, and contractors to maintain progress and resolve technical challenges.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and adherence to technical specifications.
  • Prepare progress reports and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing M&E projects, particularly fire system installations.
  • Background in building services coordination for commercial, hospitality, or stadium projects.
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarms, fire panels, disabled refuge systems, and related commissioning.
  • Awareness of contractual processes (formal contract management knowledge not essential).
  • Capable of managing multiple stakeholders and working to tight deadlines.

Certifications

  • ECS or CSCS card.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification (preferred)
