Project Engineer / Site Manager

Location: Slough, UK

Rate: £325 per day

Contract Length: 10 months

Start Date: Mid-January 2026

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Site Manager to oversee the delivery of security projects within a live data centre environment in Slough. The role requires a hands-on professional with technical knowledge of access control, CCTV, and networking systems who can coordinate on-site activities to ensure successful and timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the deployment of Bosch and Hanwell access control and CCTV systems.
  • Coordinate resources, subcontractors, and materials to meet project schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with site safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal engineering teams.
  • Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support during installation and commissioning.
  • Maintain detailed records, reports, and progress updates.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to data centre operations throughout project execution.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer or Site Manager on security or ICT infrastructure projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of Bosch and Hanwell systems – access control and CCTV.
  • Hands-on knowledge of ICT and networking infrastructure, including cabling and hardware integration.
  • Demonstrated experience working within data centres or other secure critical environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and project coordination skills.
  • Relevant safety qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, or equivalent).
