Security Installation Team Leader – Site Based
Location: Central London Retail StoreSalary: Up to £70,000 packageStart: Immediate
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Security Installation Team Leader to join a prestigious enterprise environment in Central London, supporting a high-end global retail client. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong security engineer who is either currently in or ready to step into a leadership role, managing a small team while remaining hands-on with complex enterprise-level security systems.
The successful candidate will lead a team of three onsite security engineers, ensuring the installation, commissioning and ongoing optimisation of enterprise Video Management Systems (Genetec) and integrated security technologies across the client’s environment. This role will suit someone with a strong engineering and commissioning background who enjoys combining technical delivery with team leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and support a team of 3 onsite security engineers, ensuring high standards of installation and technical delivery.

Oversee the installation, commissioning and optimisation of enterprise security systems, with a strong focus on Genetec VMS and associated integrations.

Act as the technical lead and escalation point for the engineering team.

Work directly with the client’s internal stakeholders to ensure systems remain operational, compliant and aligned with security requirements.

Monitor system performance and coordinate upgrades, improvements and preventative maintenance.

Produce regular reports on system health, incidents and maintenance activities.

Conduct periodic audits to ensure systems remain compliant with operational and security standards.

Support continuous improvement across the team, developing processes, documentation and best practices.
Experience Required
-
Hands-on experience with Genetec VMS.

Experience with IP CCTV systems, system integrations and networking fundamentals.

Previous installation and commissioning experience within complex security environments.

Experience leading or mentoring engineers or stepping into a supervisory position.

Ability to work in a client-facing environment and manage multiple priorities.
Ideal Candidate

Experience working within enterprise or corporate environments such as retail, corporate HQs, critical infrastructure or similar.

Strong technical understanding combined with leadership capability.

Previous experience working with Genetec systems in large-scale deployments.
