Senior Fire & Security Installation Engineer
Company Overview
A long?established Fire & Security Installation and Maintenance provider operating across London and the South East for over 40 years is seeking to expand its engineering team. The business specialises in delivering high?quality solutions to commercial and high?end residential clients and is part of a wider fire and security group. The company does not undertake HMO work and focuses on technically complex, premium sites.
Role Summary
Due to a significant increase in newly secured projects, the company is looking for an experienced Senior Fire & Security Installation Engineer. The successful candidate will install a broad range of Fire, Intruder, CCTV and Access Control systems across sites within or near the M25. This is a senior technical position requiring strong installation skills, problem?solving ability, and a high standard of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Install Fire, Intruder, CCTV and Access Control systems to a high technical standard.
- Lead on complex installations and act as a senior technical point on site.
- Provide troubleshooting, fault diagnosis and technical support when required.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure installations meet design, compliance and industry standards.
- Complete all relevant documentation, commissioning and compliance records.
- Ensure all work aligns with current British Standards and company procedures.
- Participate in the on?call rota and undertake overtime when required.
- Maintain a professional approach when representing the business on client sites.
Key Requirements / Skills
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Fire & Security Installation Engineer.
- Experience across the four core disciplines: Fire, Intruder, CCTV and Access Control.
- Technical experience with the following systems:
- Intruder: Texecom (with knowledge of relevant British Standards)
- Access Control: Paxton, PAC
- Door Entry: BPT, Fermax
- Video Door Entry: BPT, Comelit
- CCTV: Hikvision, DVRs, NVRs, Analogue systems, IP cameras, networked CCTV
- Fire: Analogue and IP?based network systems
- IPAF certification (required).
- Must reside within or near the M25.
- Strong problem?solving skills and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Requirements
- Additional security/fire qualifications or manufacturer?specific training.
- Previous experience in commercial and high?end residential environments.

- Salary: £45,000 – £47,500 (dependent on experience).
