  • Complete retrofit upgrades, remedial works and extensions to existing systems where required.
  • Carry out occasional installation-related tasks alongside core service responsibilities.
  • Complete all service documentation in line with company standards.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and build strong relationships with customers and site teams.
  • Advise customers on appropriate system improvements, upgrades and new technologies.
  • Participate in the engineering team’s 24/7 on-call rota.
  • Work in accordance with company Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality, Information Security and Data Protection requirements.

Experience & Skills

We’re looking for an experienced Security Engineer with a strong service and fault-finding background. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Strong experience servicing and fault-finding CCTV and Access Control systems.
  • Hands-on experience and/or manufacturer certifications with Genetec and/or Gallagher.
  • Previous exposure to enterprise-level security environments.
  • Strong electronic security systems knowledge and technical fault-finding ability.
  • A service-led background, with the flexibility to support installation, upgrades and remedial works when required.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider engineering team.
  • Full UK manual driving licence.
  • Valid CSCS/ECS card.
  • Previous experience within a BAFE, SSAIB or NSI-accredited organisation would be advantageous.
  • IPAF, PASMA and Asbestos Awareness qualifications would also be beneficial.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain appropriate DBS clearance for customer environments.

Package & Development

  • Salary up to £45,000, dependent on experience and Genetec/Gallagher knowledge or certifications.
  • Continued manufacturer and technical training.
  • Structured development and progression opportunities.
  • Company benefits package including holiday, pension and wellbeing support.
  • Opportunity to work with enterprise-level security technology across established customer environments.
  • Long-term career opportunity within an experienced and growing engineering team.

If you’re an experienced Security Service Engineer in the North of England with Genetec and/or Gallagher experience and you’re looking for greater exposure to enterprise-level systems, we’d be keen to hear from you.
