Role Summary

As the Small Works Delivery Manager, you will take full ownership of all small works projects across the division — from initial scoping through to successful completion. This leadership role ensures projects are delivered efficiently, safely, on time, and within budget. Working closely with project teams, engineers and senior leadership, you will drive performance, maintain operational excellence, and contribute to the overall success and growth of the business.


Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Assess feasibility, define project scope, and set budgets and resource requirements.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules and delivery strategies.
  • Lead and support teams to ensure high-quality delivery within agreed timescales and budgets.
  • Monitor progress, performance and commercial outcomes, providing updates and forecasts.
  • Conduct project reviews and drive continuous improvement across the division.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Set clear objectives aligned to organisational and client expectations.
  • Select, manage and motivate a diverse team of managers, engineers and administrators.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively and coordinate team activities.
  • Provide coaching, development and support to enhance team capability and performance.

Financial & Operational Control

  • Oversee budgets, forecasting, margin control and commercial applications.
  • Ensure financial analysis and commercial decision-making is sound and transparent.
  • Identify and manage risks to maintain smooth, compliant project delivery.
  • Implement improvements that enhance efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience managing small works or project delivery.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to make confident decisions under pressure.
  • Strong commercial and financial understanding.
  • Good IT literacy.
  • Gold CSCS card.
  • Fire systems knowledge.
  • Previous experience in a managerial role.

Desirable Requirements

  • Relevant industry qualifications or technical accreditations.
  • Experience within the fire and security sector.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements.

Location & Working Pattern

  • Based in Kent
  • Onsite role, Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:00.
  • Travel to customer sites as required.
  • Holiday: 25 days per annum
