Role:Telecoms Engineer
Location: Midlands
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum
Are you a Telecoms Engineer based in the Midlands looking to work across national telecoms networks and infrastructure projects? As a Telecoms Engineer, you will be installing, commissioning and supporting telecoms equipment across customer premises, data centres and exchange environments. You will be working for a well-established UK telecoms provider delivering critical network and infrastructure services nationwide.
Responsibilities:
● Installing and commissioning telecoms equipment including routers, switches and modems
● Diagnosing faults, maintaining systems and restoring services efficiently
● Migrating and upgrading customer technologies onto new platforms
● Managing your own workload across multiple sites
● Carrying out cabling, fibre, power, configuration and testing works (including Cisco equipment)
● Recording work accurately within company systems and tracking equipment movements
Experience and Certifications Required:
● A minimum of 3 years’ experience within Telecoms and/or IT engineering
● Experience installing, configuring and supporting routers and switches
● Strong analytical and fault-finding capability
● Experience using remote diagnostic tools such as TeamViewer
● Understanding of structured cabling, fibre and power installations
● Excellent communication and customer service skills
