ST21 Twickenham charity cash

by Mark Rowe

Security TWENTY events as run by Professional Security magazine, since their beginning have sought to do something for charity by raising money, usually for a good cause local to the venue. Over the years ST has raised – thanks to the goodwill of visitors, exhibitors and guests – a six-figure sum in total.

The latest was the last ST event of 2021, at Twickenham Stadium, where the charity cause was the Aldershot branch of the Royal British Legion, who attended the networking dinner the night before the actual conference and exhibition, and the day proper.

The Legion has formally recognised the £2614.22 raised at Twickenham, which will go towards the Legion’s 2021 poppy appeal, which as ever will go towards improving the live’s of the nation’s veterans and their families.

The next ST event, the first of a bumper seven in 2022, is in Birmingham on February 17, at the Metropole Hotel on the NEC campus. It’s free to attend – click on this link or email Liz Lloyd – [email protected].

The good cause at ST22 Birmingham is Footprints Conductive Education Centre which provides education and other services for children with mobility and communication problems.
