A new contract to supply and maintain a range of fire-fighting products and systems to protect several Blackpool Council public and municipal buildings, including its historic town hall has gone to Chubb Fire & Security UK.
The new framework agreement includes fire extinguishers, fire blankets, gas suppression and sprinkler systems and dry risers. According to the security firm the agreement allows public sector customers to enjoy efficiency savings through access to a range of services, including facilities management, waste, buildings, highways, energy, fleet and office and business machines. As well as the town hall, the servicing and maintenance contract includes libraries and the illumination station on the famous Blackpool promenade.
