Cancer scam email

by Mark Rowe

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (Nice) is warning people of a scam email that suggests victims have cancer. The email with the header “important blood analysis result”, tells people that Nice has been sent a sample of their blood for further research.

The emails ask victims to download and print out “test results” from an attachment which is likely to contain malware. If you receive one of these emails, delete it, do not download the attachment and report it to Action Fraud – on this link, https://reportlite.actionfraud.police.uk.

If you have lost money through any of your online fraud experiences report a crime, again through Action Fraud.
