The event security and stewarding contractor Showsec has made it through Derby City Council’s tender process, and has another contract with the council to provide security at its events.
This is the second time that East Midlands Area Manager Joe Milner has secured the contract with Derby, having secured a three-year deal in 2013. The council also had a working relationship with Showsec for over a decade before.
Joe said: “We’re very pleased that our hard work has paid off in securing the tender. We are particularly known for our work with a lot of local authorities, including in Leicester and Nottingham, so it’s great that we can also continue to work with Derby City Council. They know that Showsec has exactly the right kind of staff they’re looking for.”
Showsec do event security for a fair few councils, such as Sheffield (pictured; a summer 2017 open-air music festival), Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester and in Leicester, where the company has its head office.
