Office systems

by Mark Rowe

Occupiers and visitors at 10 Portman Square, a new West End retail and office development delivered by British Land, have had life safety and security systems installed by Reflex Systems.

The South Yorkshire based company fitted fire detection and voice evacuation systems, care communications, door access control, sliding glass pedestrian lanes, CCTV and intruder detection at the 20,000sq ft of retail space and 113,0000sq ft of office space. The systems run over an IP network, using graphical user interfaces and modular software for building management.

John Pye, Managing Director of Reflex, said: “We worked closely with consultants and building contractors from start to finish to ensure that all life safety and security met the stringent compliance standards. We also kept one eye on the future when considering the longer term needs of the building owners, operators and tenants.”

Reflex Systems has recently secured Gold accreditations from NACOSS (National Approvals Council for Security Systems) and BAFE. For more details about Reflex Systems, contact 0800 542 3333 or visit the website www.reflexsystems.co.uk .
