Organisers stress that the OSPAs are totally independent and have a strict ethics policy for entering, judging and sponsoring. Judging is by an independent panel who have been nominated by many of the UK’s security associations. Award winners will be selected from finalists, and winners of the UK OSPAs will be named on Thursday, February 23 at a black-tie dinner at the Royal Lancaster London. As in previous years in the afternoon a ‘thought leadership summit’ (pictured, the 2022 event in February) will run at the venue, and end in time to give attenders the chance to change into evening wear if they are going to the dinner.

TEAM Software are headline sponsors and Assist Group, Bidvest Noonan, BSIA, CIS Security, Corps Security, Danhouse Security, International Security Expo/The Security Event, the National Security Inspectorate (NSI), Police CPI, Zinc Systems and The Security Institute are sponsoring categories.

Meanwhile Martin is still doing the thought leadership webinars that he began in March 2020 due to the covid pandemic. The next on Thursday, October 13 from 3.30pm features Frank Portinari who explains how he went from being a football hooligan, to involvement in right wing extremism, to supplying guns to loyalist paramilitaries, to prison. The webinars are free to view, sign up at https://theospas.com/thought-leadership-webinars/.
