The contractor Unipart Security Solutions Ltd (USS) reports the appointment of Andrew Hallam, pictured, as Managing Director, with effect from February 1, 2015. Andrew takes over from Colin Moore, who becomes Head of Unipart Group Security. Andrew said: “I am delighted to say that Colin will remain as a board member of USS and to personally thank Colin for his leadership of USS since he started the business in 2008.”

Under Colin Moore, USS reports, it has developed its business model to create what the firm calls a ‘total security offering’ which extends to alarm response, CCTV monitoring, installations and mobile patrols.

Michelle Farrelly, Head of HR for USS, said: “I have had the pleasure of working with Andrew Hallam as Operations Director for the last two years and during this time I have found him to be a true professional, He has extensive knowledge of the security industry gained from running his own business. He is a man of integrity who builds strong relationships built on trust and honesty. He is commercially astute and demonstrates a high level of emotional intelligence in his dealings with people. He is a highly driven individual and is relentless in driving issues to resolution. He is creating a sales driven business that will deliver growth organically and acquisitively and I look forward to working with him in 2015 as Managing Director of Unipart Security.”

Andrew Hallam’s experience in the security industry started in 1989 and has seen his roles vary from senior management to regional director. In 2002 Andrew set up his own security company and by 2012 he had sold it and joined Unipart as Operations Director.

John Gerard-Pearse, Financial Controller for USS, said: “I have worked alongside Andy for over two years know and he has demonstrated his strong commercial and business acumen on many occasions and I am looking forward to working for Andy and wish him every success in his new role.
Andrew is keen to introduce more customers to the difference that Unipart Security can offer “USS differentiates itself from competitors due to the ability to create solutions utilising the Unipart Way tools and techniques” he explained. “These tools and techniques actively encourage strong employee engagement and as such, USS is equipped with highly competent and experiences teams of professionals across the entire business.”
