Airport Video

by msecadm4921

Two airports have gone over to digital video in Sweden.

The Kallax and Arlanda airports have both selected ISG and Swiss digital CCTV manufacturer VisioWave.

Luggage handling

Arlanda Airport in Stockholm has chosen a VisioWave Evolution system from ISG Systems AB. The solution deployed is monitoring the luggage handling system in Terminals 5 and F. The system is scalable and it will be integrated with the other terminals and controlled from the existing site, the firms report. The solution enables continuous recording on all cameras at 25 frames per second for two hours; 1500 fps total. Operators use the Video Security Center (VCS) software for selecting cameras to monitor and to view recorded material. Alarms from the luggage conveyer system, elevators, and so on are managed through the Scada system which has a link to the VisioWave system. For example if an elevator alarms, the operator will pick a camera associated to the elevator. The operator will get a fast view over the situation and be able to solve the problem.

Kallax Airport

Kallax Airport in Lulea has chosen the surveillance system from ISG Systems AB that contains fixed and PTZ cameras processed by the VisioWave Power Plus digital video products. ISG has developed the camera monitoring system via dual PC monitors plus the graphical user interface for the security operators. Entry phones are integrated in the system. Camera positioning is automatically handled when an alarm or event arises.

What they say

"These projects confirm that ISG is a key partner for VisioWave and we strongly feel that this strategic partnership will offer greater potential to generate new business opportunities in Sweden." says Yann Guyonvarc’h, President of VisioWave.
