The VideoIP appliances of the Smatrix series have received the LGC Forensics certification. Now, all Dallmeier recording devices are LGC certified….
LGC Forensics, formerly Kalagate, checks if the pictures recorded by the digital video system meet the requirements of a court. This means for instance that the pictures’ quality has to meet certain criteria and that there has to be an encryption to protect against external access to the "closed" system and to avoid extraneous manipulation. The recording systems have to be designed fraud-resistant, so that the authenticity of the picture can be assessed when copying data to DVD, such as with an electronic water mark.
