The US-based International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC) is holding its 18th annual professional development conference, titled Preparing to Succeed in the Next Economy, from April 21 to 24, at the Sheraton Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. The conference will include a dozen sessions and workshops covering from US ?Homeland Defense? and strategic planning to risk management and practice management. Consultant Richard Grassie, CPP, co-chair of the conference and treasurer of IAPSC, says: ?In the aftermath of the recent terrorist attacks and ensuing events, it is more important than ever for professionals involved in the security industry to get the most current information, to share knowledge and generate ideas, and to collectively plan for the uncertain future. Security professionals from every arena will find a forum for exchange and vital information to navigate through the uncharted waters of the next economy.? Special pre-conference features include how to succeed as s professional security consultant, running from April 19 to 21, a three-day intensive course on the ins and outs, dos and don’ts of starting and managing a security consulting practice.
