deView has just released the D411 vandal-resistant dome camera with the latest Pixim Seawolf chip-set.
This new surface mount die-cast aluminium shell dome with a polycarbonate bubble – which is IP66 rated for external applications – is now available ‘off-the-shelf’ from the distributor Pro-Vision.
The D411 delivers 690 TV lines of resolution and is described as true day night (TDN) with a removable IR cut filter. It is supplied with a 3-12mm VariFocal lens plus 18 IR LEDs to provide a useable range of 18m, a service lead for configuration and a second video output. The built-in heater kit ensures the dome can operate in temperatures down to minus 30 degrees C and requires a 12/24v power supply.
Simon Davies, Pro-Vision’s Internal Sales Manager, says: “Pixim is a leading provider of imaging technology for security cameras. Its Seawolf chip is the world’s first single-chip enterprise video camera solution that enables cameras to use a single digital chip, rather than the more complicated mixed-signal, multi-chip sets. The Seawolf chip provides 10 times the low-light performance of the previous generation security camera chip sets as well as the industry’s de facto wide dynamic range (WDR) and accurate color performance. deView may not a big name brand in the UK as yet but they are extremely active in developing CCTV equipment worldwide with offices in Europe, North America and Asia.
