Door Entry System

BC Technology is launching the Aiphone colour video door entry system.

BC Technology is launching the Aiphone colour video door entry system that is now available with a new (optional) picture memory unit (KC-32EU). The system enables up to three surface mount door stations to connect with up to five colour monitors. Each door station contains a colour camera with automatic built-in illuminators, plus a two-way intercom that transmits, via a digital signal processor, to all five internal monitors. The internal door monitors instantly show the image of the caller on the four-inch colour screen, even before the call has been answered. Internal monitors can be used as intercoms for communications between rooms. The picture memory unit allows the user to record all visitors to the door while they are out; or even when they are in. The user can then play the recorded images, on the master monitor, to see who has called. It records up to 60 pictures and has three programmable recording configurations. For example, it can save four consecutive views of the caller over two seconds, saving a maximum of 16 callers. Or, it can be programmed to save two views of the caller, saving a maximum of 32 recordings or; it can save one frame of each caller giving a maximum of 60 pictures. The record button can also be activated manually by the user at any time. Once it has saved 60 pictures the memory unit will automatically record over the first saved picture and so on; however, the user can erase all pictures manually. If the user would like to store a picture indefinitely, the picture memory unit offers a ?storage? memory that can hold a maximum of eight pictures. To complement this, BC Technology has developed a system to enable the user to transfer the images saved in the picture memory unit on to a PC or laptop computer where they can be permanent stored. Through a simple connection, the images can be downloaded on to a PC or laptop computer and saved – showing the time and date of the call, and can be replayed as required. The new picture memory unit can also be installed on existing black and white systems.
