Leadership And Recovery Conference

by msecadm4921

Tuesday, June 21 in the BT Theatre, BT Centre, 81 Newgate Street, City of London is the time and place for a CSARN (City Security and Resilience Networks) event on ‘crisis leadership and business recovery’.

Organisers say that 2011 has so far witnessed crises around the globe, all of which in some way impact the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of UK PLC.

Preparing for any major hazard – by putting in place and developing leaders who can adapt to manage any major organisational incident or crisis – challenges the thinking of all risk officers, emergency planners and Board members alike.

After last year’s inaugural crisis leadership event, the conference deploys corporate, government, academic, military and media presenters to identify the key ingredients required to achieve crisis leadership. The event is held strictly under Chatham House Rules. Speakers invited:

Lord Blair of Boughton / Former Metropolitan Police Commissioner
Ken Livingstone / Former Mayor of London (2000-08) and Labour Party candidate for the office of London Mayor 2012
Roger Gomm QPM / Superintendent, Metropolitan Police Service, Public Order Branch (CO11)
Peter Docker / Managing Director and Co-Founder, Why not? ˆ Challenging Assumptions
Mandy Rutter / Clinical Consultant Business Manager Specialist Services AXA ICAS
Roy Wilsher / Chief Fire Office, Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue
Foreign & Commonwealth Office / Crisis Management speaker
Dr Aarti Anhal / COO, 4C Strategies
Ian Carter / Former Metropolitan Police Commander and Security Advisor to Deloitte
Wayne Harrop / Director of the Centre for Disaster Management, Coventry University
