Light Move

by msecadm4921

IR lighting product firm Raytec report that all RAYMAX Infra-Red and RAYLUX White-Light illuminators are now vandal-resistant.

Each illuminator is fitted with a polycarbonate lens designed to protect against severe blows from crowbars, baseball bats, stones, and can even withstand shots from air guns, it is claimed.

The new polycarbonate lens is fitted to all Raytec illuminators as standard. As well as providing vandal resistant lighting, the polycarbonate lens allows high light transmission allowing Raytec illuminators to continue achieving, the company claims, industry leading illumination distances.

What they say

"The introduction of vandal resistant lighting is in response to demand from installers. Our lighting units are frequently used to provide night-time CCTV in demanding environments and our customers had identified a need for durability, particularly protection from stones and attack by vandals. Naturally we are delighted to introduce vandal resistance to our product range. We are always aiming to make CCTV lighting more effective and see this as another step forward," says Shaun Cutler, Managing Director.

Raytec lighting products are used in over 35 countries, the firm adds. For more information, or to request a copy of the new Raytec product guide including 07, email [email protected]
