Monitor Range

by msecadm4921

Security equipment suppliers Vigilant Vision have launched a new range of TFT LCD monitors for use in security monitoring applications.

They are suitable, it is claimed, for use with speed dome camera systems and applications requiring the monitoring of high speed traffic. They also provide significant cost savings over comparable systems, the firm adds.

The monitors offer a wide 80 degree viewing angle and support 1280×1024 video resolution. Available in 17- and 19-inch versions with a 4ms response rate, they eliminate the latency that often causes fast moving images to blur or smear, according to the firm. Video quality is further enhanced through use of 3D comb filter and 3D de-interlace processing which provide what the firm calls pin-sharp pictures giving level of detail even in the darker areas.

The monitors accept a range of inputs including BNC, VGA and DVI enabling them to be simultaneously used for multiple applications. Operators can switch between desktop applications and CCTV monitoring as the press of a button. There are two models in the range. The Eco series is available in black finish while Pro series is supplied with silver metal finish providing more robustness and a picture within picture function that allows the operator to display PC and video signals simultaneously.

What they say

Ron Sharpe, managing director of Vigilant Vision, says: “These new LCD monitors set a new price/performance standard in the market and consolidate Vigilant Vision’s reputation for providing high quality, innovative security products.”
