A 3M Privacy Filter has a patented microlouvre film that allows only the person sitting directly in front of the monitor to see the images or data displayed. This solution could help you CCTV users to comply with the Data Protection Act, say 3M. People viewing from either side see only a blank, dark screen, which excludes prying eyes – whether deliberate or not. The product is available in a range of sizes to fit CRT monitors and LCD flat panels, besides laptops. In addition, the company adds, the product helps to eliminate glare and reflections, to help prevent eye strain and to improve screen contrast, aiding compliance with health and safety regulations for staff using display screens.
