Retail Fraud Date

Retail Fraud ‘On the Road’ is the sister conference to Retail Fraud, an annual event in London. The ‘on the road’ event is next on October 6, 2011, at the King Power Stadium (formerly Walker’s Stadium) in Leicester.

The conference was initially launched in 2009 to convenience retailers and suppliers based in the north of England.  However, the conference is attended by delegates nationwide.  <br><br>In line with previous years, Retail Fraud on the Road continues to offer retailer case studies, market insights and supplier views from the fraud and loss prevention sectors. <br><br>Chaired by Professor Martin Gill of Perpetuity Research, delegates can find out how the economic downturn has brought new challenges to preventing public theft from Robert Jennings, Head of Loss Prevention at Boots plc; hear about the re-launch of the US’s LerpNet, a national crime and serious incident data sharing platform, from Kevin McMenimen, former Corporate Manager of Investigations Worldwide at Tiffany and Co, and explore the changing patterns of fraud and JLP’s responses in terms of the speed of fraudsters behaviour change and the scale of ‘Authenticated’ fraud as well as the limitations of 3D secure with Liz Heaton, Analysis Manager, Profit Protection, John Lewis Retail. <br><br>Also joining the line-up for the second year will be Neil O Neil, the ‘ethical hacker’ who will reveal the latest threats to retail, and representatives from companies including Greggs plc, B&Q plc, Co-operative, retail trade union USDAW, and IT security product firm Cybersource. <br><br>Paul Bessant, MD of Retail Knowledge, which is staging the event, said: “It is a great achievement to be moving into our third year and reflects the success of the winning formula that comes from the Retail Fraud stable.  We have a fantastic line-up of speakers sharing their best practice, along with some hands-on vendor/retailer master classes and of course, a wide range of exhibitors showing the latest products and services.” <br><br>Master classes will be hosted by Bi3, Travis Perkins, AXIS Communications and Transactis. <br><br>Completing the line-up will be the exhibition, featuring names such as Cybersource, B2B, Orridge, Panasonic, Volumatic and WIS International.
