SIA CCTV Meet

by msecadm4921

The Security Industry Authority is inviting Public Space Surveillance (CCTV) operatives to register their interest in attending a network meeting with the SIA and other representatives from their sector.

This is an opportunity for those in the CCTV sector to engage with the SIA and others in the industry, to act as a contributor to the meetings and discuss topical issues such as regulation, SIA developments, and moving the sector forward. It’s part of the SIA’s Stakeholder Engagement Strategy, the regulator adds.

The SIA will arrange and facilitate the first meeting, after which it is anticipated that this new interest group will self-manage later meetings. That’s the same principle as other groups already running, such as door staff and small businesses.

The network meeting will be on Monday, October 27, at a central London location. To express an interest in attending the meeting please visit www.the-sia.org.uk/cctv-network by September 22.

The authority does add that registering an interest to attend does not guarantee a place at the meeting. Places will be confirmed by October 3. There is no charge for this event and lunch will be provided.
