Security contract guarding companies are facing enormous change ahead of the Security Industry Authority licence deadline in March 2006, reports Wiltshire-based security trainers.
The company is promoting its flexible training to suit the requirements of the sector.
Total Training Consultancy is an accredited NOCN (National Open College Network) centre with an established relationship with SITO. Bobbie Tiley of the consultancy says: “Recognising the demand and accepting operational difficulties we are introducing a rolling training programme. As from June 2005 we shall be running a continuous four-day course. The three day basic job training (BJT) programme combined with the fourth day of SITO and MAYBO Communication and Conflict Management skills leads to the NOCN Level Two Award in Security Guarding (Static and Patrol). Achievement of this award will provide delegates with the competencies required for SIA licensing. The idea is that any company may join our courses. They may send as few or as many delegates as is operationally viable and in some cases delegates may simply require the part two conflict management training and exam. As established trainers we are also able to understand the needs of the delegates, some of whom have not been in a classroom environment since school. We are a strong team, realistic in our approach and dedicated to achieving results.”
