Vespasian Security wins the contract to supply Event Security and Crowd Management services to Widcombe Rising 2012

Vespasian Security has been awarded the contract to supply crowd management and event security services to Widcombe Rising 2012. Vespasian Security is expanding their crowd management teams in 2012 in anticipation of a busy season of festivals and live events. Widcombe Rising is a community event in an exclusive area of Bath, Somerset. The event draws thousands of people from the local community biennially to a lively, fun-filled event.


Oliver Gardiner, Vespasian’s founder and Managing Director said: “Our whole team is really excited to have been selected to work alongside the Widcombe team. As well as adding Widcombe Rising to our ever growing calendar of independent events in 2012, our work with Widcombe strengthens our presence in the Cotswolds and the West Country.”

Vespasian Security are working with their training partner, The Event Training Centre, to give work experience and employment to Crowd Safety Stewards and SIA licensed staff that have been trained as part of the Olympic training programme called Bridging the Gap.

Oliver continued: “I am really excited about introducing the new Bridging the Gap teams to the live events industry. Being able to use their enthusiasm, drive and technical ability is a key factor in many of our events and festivals in the run up to the Olympics.”
