Cloud computing day

Whitehall Media’s 5th Enterprise Cloud Computing and Virtualisation conference is to run at Hotel Russell in central London on Thursday, March 20.

The event will bring together of users and suppliers of cloud, virtualization, SaaS solutions and technologies to discuss trends and developments, large scale cloud deployments, storage and data centres, big data and identity management, new applications, new business opportunities and the future.

Whitehall Media’s managing director Waqas Hashemi said: “Cloud Computing is an essential enabler for the modern connected enterprise. Not only does it offer agility, flexibility and greater convenience, it is a vital platform for enterprise-wide mobility and big data analytics tools and technologies. As cloud infrastructures are diversified we will see the deployment of stronger identity management protocols and sophisticated analytics tools to mine and structure data stored in the cloud. In the years ahead, securing sensitive data and networks will remain a key priority for the boardroom. Our conference will show how cloud is one of the primary forces for change for IT professionals in the UK and why it is cited as having the most impact on business and technology.”

The conference will be chaired by Bob Plumridge from SNIA Europe and features speakers from Channel 4, UCAS, NHS, HSBC, TotalJobs and from the general insurance sector. Platinum sponsors for the event include NTT Communications, Atos, Interoute and Rackspace.
