Engineering ambassador

by msecadm4921

The Institution of Engineering Technology (IET) London Young Professionals are hosting an interactive workshop. The role and benefits of becoming an ambassador at your business or university will be discussed.

For existing ambassadors, this evening will present a great chance to discuss the role and feed information back to the new ambassadors.

According to organisers, by becoming an ambassador, not only will you benefit from personal development and the enhancement of your professional profile, but you will also be helping to make a difference in the engineering world by helping the IET reach out with targeted engineering events.  This role will help you to:

boost your CV;

gain an advantage in job interviews;

develop your personal skills;

represent your university;

help to promote engineering;

network with your peers.

We aim to start the evening with a brief introduction to the IET and the Young Professionals committee. Next we will discuss the details of the ambassador role and its many benefits and then move onto some interactive brainstorming exercises. We will conclude by discussing our upcoming events and your potential role in their promotion.

Snacks and drinks will be provided during the registration period from 6-6:30pm.The event is free to attend.

Date and time: 24 April 2012, 18:00 – 20:30

Location:         IET London: Savoy Place <http://savoyplace.theiet.org/about/location.cfm> , 2 Savoy Place, London WC2R 0BL.
