Skills call before funding bid

by Mark Rowe

Skills for Security (SfS) will be submitting a second government funding bid for the development / review of National Occupational Standards (NOS) across these sectors:

Review of Human Identity and Biometrics NOS
Review of Physical Security NOS
Review of Technical Counter Surveillance Measures NOS

Besides three new ones –

Development of Device Monitoring Operations NOS
Development of Asset & Property Marking NOS
Development of Lone Worker Operations NOS

Worcester-based Skills for Security adds that it will find out if it’s been successful with our second bid by May 2014, but at this initial bid submission stage the body would like to gather industry statements of support to evidence demand for the work; and invite representatives to register interest to sit on the groups involved in developing the NOS.

If you would like to find out more and get involved or may know of someone who may be interested in getting involved, visit the SfS website.
