The Danish Institute of Fire & Security (DBI), based in Copenhagen, applied to the EU for funding to send two groups of ten security trainers to the UK in a partnership with Skills for Security (SfS), the skills and standards setting body for the security sector. The aim; to show security training here in the UK and share best practices.
The second visit ran a week during June (the first visited in March 2013). Among the visitors were representatives from the Danish Security Parliament, installation companies and end users, including the Head of Investigations for the Danish Institute of Fire and Security. All are involved in security training and were keen to see the UK at work.
