Cambridge contract

A contract with the University of Cambridge has gone to Dardan Security. The two year contract for 24/7 security at the University’s Data Centre began on March 15. The facility is to provide a data centre service to multiple university institutions. Built in 2014 as part of work on energy and carbon management, the Centre occupies a bespoke building on the West Cambridge site covering 2200 square metres.

Dardan, which has its head office in Cambridge already delivers security at similar data centres and holda a number of contracts in the educational sector including Anglia Ruskin University and University of Suffolk.

Philip Anthony, Managing Director of Dardan Security, said: “Our expertise in this field, together with our specialist teams and regional operational coverage makes us the ideal partner for the University and will ensure a high-quality and effective security service is delivered to such a crucial facility.”
