Chubb Fire & Security Ltd marked 200 years of business with some of its present customers at Westminster Abbey, where Chubb products have been in use for over 40 years.
The customer event was held in the ancient open galleries of the East Cloister. Customers enjoyed refreshments, a string quartet and guided tours of this iconic venue.
Mark Pettit, director of strategy and business development at Chubb, said: “We are extremely proud to be protecting such a prestigious landmark venue, and it is an honour to mark this important milestone at Westminster Abbey. The event was a great success, and an excellent opportunity for us to thank our customers for their continued support.”
In 1818, two brothers, Charles and Jeremiah Chubb, invented the first and original secure lock mechanism – an innovation that started the modern security industry.
