IFSEC has announced that the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), the UK private security industry trade body, will create a ‘UK marketplace’ for all shows across the global series.
Rachel Eaton, Event Manager of IFSEC International said: “In working with the BSIA, we look forward to promoting and educating our partners on UK standards of excellence. We hope to give the wider security industry the chance to discuss their anxieties, widen their horizons and pose any burning questions they have – all the while celebrating UK quality and professionalism.”
IFSEC runs security exhibitions in London, Bangkok, Philippines, India and Kuala Lumpur. The BSIA’s members are responsible for more than 70pc of privately provided UK security products and services (by turnover) including the manufacture, distribution and installation of electronic and physical security equipment and the provision of security guarding and consultancy services.
IFSEC has offered further access to trade associations and governmental bodies. In its 2018 edition, IFSEC International announced its first Government Pavilion, which welcomed representatives from JSaRC, DiT, DSO and others seeking to guide security people through the changing landscape.
Rachel Eaton added: “We were proud to give our visitors and exhibitors the opportunity to meet face to face with the governmental bodies shaping their legal guidelines. We’re excited to be able to extend a similar type of guidance to the global portfolio.”
