The Shield Group has appointed Paul Bland as new head for the Retail Division. He joins from retail guarding firm Oltec Group, where he was the UK Operations Director. Paul will work on the groupโs Total Security Solutions approach across the retail division, bringing sector experience having worked with clients including Selfridges, House of Fraser, Marks & Spencer, Boots and J Sainsburyโs.
Paul will form part of a senior executive team. In his previous roles Paul has worked for guard firms such as, Sabrewatch, Oltec Group Facilities Management where he was the Operations Director and Corps Security as National Operations Director.

Paul is a former member of the Royal Air Force Police and has 18 years of experience in the security industry. Outside of work, Paul is active in his local community, he is for instance the co-founder and chair of RGC Worcester, a community based (not-for-profit) gymnastics club in his home town.
