The fire and security installer Evolution is sponsoring its finance manager to enter and race his Hayabusa Mallock sports car at Silverstone, the home of English motor racing in Northamptonshire.
Motorsport has always been a long-term hobby and family tradition for Kevin Burnham (pictured, by Steve Jones), who joined the Buckinghamshire-based firm six months ago, and he says the sponsorship from Evolution enables him to regularly take to the track. He said: โIt’s amazing for the business to enable me to take part in one of my passions and provide the financial support for me to do so. The recent race weekend was fantastic, racing around the circuit with Evolutionโs logo on my car. While Friday practice went well and I qualified ninth out of 20, the race was cut short for me as the engine had technical problems.โ
However, this didnโt dampen his mood. โIt was superb weekend and even better to fly the company colours. I look forward to the next race!โ
Evolution is also sponsoring project manager Steve Bowie when he races his classic Vauxhall Chevette in the BDCC Rally on November 20.
