IFSEC 2012 saw Spica International make its third consecutive appearance at the UK security event. And, as in the last years, they showed their access control and workforce management solution product.

They launched their new ZONE Controller range. You the user decides whether you want it centralised or distributed, whether you want a two-door controller or a 10-door controller or more, what reader technology you want, what power supply you want, how much I/O you need…. all assembled using a small number of standard components.

They introduced their Biometric Admin Portal, which enables the enrolment and distribution of fingerprint templates within the system – all from a web interface. Thus, you can take your enrolment laptop to the fingerprint unit – no need for a central enrolment station and suitable it’s claimed for distributed installations. They also added IP video capability using SeeTec’s VMS with a range of supported cameras. The module now acts as a security centre with all event, alarm and video monitoring in the one location.
