Module revision

by Mark Rowe

The wired and wireless alarms manufacturer Ajax Systems reports a revision of MultiTransmitter, a module for integrating third-party wired detectors to the Ajax security system. The updated version supports 2EOL and 3EOL connections, more types of alarms, and an extended EOL resistance value range.

The new version of MultiTransmitter will replace the previous one. To avoid confusion, the new devices have different packaging — with a “3EOL” label. The new devices are already available for pre-order from partners.

With MultiTransmitter, an installation engineer and security companies can build a security system based on the wired equipment already installed at a facility. Owners of wired alarm systems receive control of security modes in a smartphone app, informative notifications, and automation scenarios from Ajax. An engineer can now manage the system settings in Ajax PRO apps: on–site and remotely.

The updated version supports NC, NO, EOL, 2EOL, and 3EOL connections. This gives more freedom for installers: any wired detector with dry contacts can be connected to the integration module.

More event types of wired devices:

Intrusion
Fire alarm
Medical help
Panic button
Gas alarm
Tamper alarm
Malfunction
Leakage
Custom

The new version allows you to connect wired water leak detectors. The device can now notify users about a service event, without sending the alarm to a monitoring station. This can be useful to keep track of the water level in a reservoir or the state of smoke machines. It’s suitable for homes and apartments, shops and restaurants, offices and warehouses, the developers add.

The manufacturer is stopping production and delivery of the previous version of MultiTransmitter. Technical support and warranty services for these devices remain unchanged.
